These teams, after competing on behalf of the School against other faculties, are the core of the delegation that represents the School at international level at the Cartel des Mines, on annual basis.

Around 80 to 85 people, 80% of them students of Oviedo School of Mines, are members and players of the Rugby Union Club. Its highest achievement was the provincial league title won in the 94-95 season. In addition, Cartel titles have been obtained in Oviedo'92 and Madrid'94.

On the other hand, a Trekking & Climbing Group was born a couple of years ago. Although just a few activities have been set up, we hope and wish that in a short future more supporters will help us to grow up, to become something permanent.
